Shipping Timelines
Let’s get right to the good stuff. We are on track to fulfill according to the projected timelines we outlined in our campaign. That means this fall we will be shipping tier rewards and add-ons in two separate shipments!
What are you still waiting for?
While we have received most of our pledge rewards and add-ons, we are still waiting for a few important items. Coins, coasters, and playing cards for the backer pack aren’t here yet, but they are on their way! As soon as they arrive, we’ll be able to start assembling the backer packs. We are also waiting on packaging for Dragonsteel Prime and The Way of Kings Prime. We want them to be a gorgeous addition to your shelves, so—like with anything we ship—we won’t be sending any of those out until we’re confident they can make it to you safely.
How are you shipping my stuff?
We wanted to take a moment to address how we’ll be shipping the tier rewards. Space is a finite resource, so our current plan is to prioritize tiers with higher volumes of tier rewards to mitigate overcrowding at the Dragonsteel warehouse. We’ve been trying to find a storage solution in Shadesmar, but the folks in Celebrant were more interested in trading goods than storing them. Shipping plans could change, so we’ll keep you up to date with how we’re planning to get these awesome items into your hands.
Backer Survey Percentages
Unsurprisingly, we’ve had an incredible response to the backer surveys. We are currently sitting at 96% completion! Now, this means we still have over 3,000 backers that need to complete their surveys. Completing your survey is required for us to get your rewards, so don’t delay!
Please note that this is still important even if you are just getting the New Secret Project in 2025 or are a digital backer, as you will not receive your digital files without filling out your survey.
If you’ve lost your survey and need to find it, head to the
survey recovery page, enter the email you used to back the campaign, and click “Get My Survey.”

The Cosmere RPG Kickstarter Is Live Now!

In 2022, we told you we were working with Brotherwise Games to develop a tabletop RPG based on the Stormlight Archive. But there's always another secret, and today we're excited to reveal that the "Stormlight RPG" was actually just a codename for the Cosmere RPG.
This is a canonical, living RPG that will expand as Brandon writes new books and new worlds. From Roshar to Scadrial and beyond, a universe of adventure awaits.

An End and A Beginning

The summer is in full swing and that means that wave 1 of fulfillment is just around the corner! If you haven’t filled out your survey, this is your reminder to complete it ASAP! We will be locking all pledge tiers and turning off add-ons beginning August 1, 2024. After that time you’ll still be able to fill out your survey, but you will not be able to make any changes to your pledge level or add-ons.
Pay Over Time Backers – Final Payments
For those who opted into four months of payments, we have confirmed with the BackerKit team that all pledges have been charged and your backer info has been imported into the pledge manager. You should have received an email prompting you to fill out your backer survey, where you can select add-ons, provide your shipping information, and pay shipping fees and any applicable state tax. Be sure to complete that survey promptly, as we want to be able to ship your pledges as soon as everything arrives. Don’t delay!

Address Updates
This is a season where a lot of folks move! If you have moved in state, you can log in through your backer survey and update your shipping address. If you moved out of state, please contact us, share your new address and backer number or email address, and we will help make that change!
NOTE: We still plan to start shipping in fall of 2024. So, if you are moving temporarily this summer but will be returning to your current address in the fall, you may not need to make any changes to your shipping address. Check with our support team if you have any questions!

Pay Over Time Backers
For those doing the pay over time option, we have had many questions about accessing your survey. You will receive your survey when you complete your last pledge payment in July. And do not fear, fulfillment does not begin until the fall, so you aren’t missing out on any rewards by completing the survey this summer!
More Questions
As we wrap up this phase of the campaign, we just want to address some common questions that we did not initially address directly in our FAQs.
Why is there another charge to complete my backer survey?
When the campaign closed, you were charged for your pledge only. We use the backer survey to input your shipping address, correct incorrect payment info, and collect shipping charges for your pledge and add-ons. Charges collected at this stage also include state taxes for those located in the U.S..
Why haven’t I received my survey?
This comes down to one key issue–surveys are only available after the payment has been completed for your pledge. If you haven’t received your survey, it is possible that:
1) Your payment failed, and if it did you should have received an email inviting you to resubmit payment.
2) You are using the pay over time option. In this case, you will receive your survey after you complete your payments in July.
Additionally, those who purchase pledge rewards and add-ons through the pre-order store alone will not receive a survey as that information is collected immediately upon checkout.
Why are you asking for my address if I am only receiving digital products?
Since we will be distributing the New Secret Project audiobooks via Audible where possible, we had to ask for addresses from all digital backers. We did this so we don't accidentally send Audible codes to regions where Audible is not supported. While this does not directly affect ebook only backers, we did not have the option to only ask this to audiobook backers. As a result, we had to ask everyone.
