Hello, backers! Dragonsteel Nexus 2024 is behind us, so now it’s time for our next BackerKit update!
If you’ve been watching our social media, you know that these have been some crazy weeks for the Dragonsteel team. We know that you are all patiently awaiting your shipments, so we want to give you a window on how things are going at the warehouse and what things are looking like for the next few weeks.
Let’s Talk Progress
On Brandon’s
website, you have probably seen our percentage bar for the Words of Radiance campaign. Currently, we’re at 15% fulfillment for the $325 tier. What does that actually mean in terms of shipments? Since September, we’ve sent out 15,155 packages, and those numbers increase every day.
To keep making meaningful progress on this campaign, we’ve recruited some more warehouse squires who have been a massive help. Our office staff have taken time to work in the warehouse each day, and our dedicated team is working weekends (and even some holidays!) to continue our progress on Words of Radiance shipping. We think about you every day and we are so excited for you to receive your rewards!
Taking Care of the Bridge Crew
We gave our team the Thanksgiving holiday off, and our team is going to be taking mandatory time off from December 25 to January 1. When the warehouse reopens on January 2, our staff and our warehouse squires will be hard at work sending out Words of Radiance rewards, catching up on customer service tickets, and packing our regular store orders.

Hello Worldhoppers! Our chulls are loaded and we have finished shipping the numbered version of the $650 tier. Some shipments are still out for delivery, so be sure to keep an eye on your tracking information. We’re now moving on to packing and shipping the unnumbered version of the $650 tier! As shipments have gone out, we’ve seen some common questions come in that we’d love to take a moment to answer here.
When do I get my stuff?
As a reminder, we are working through shipping out tiers based on the volume of items in the tiers. Our warehouse is large, but we only have so much space! That being said, we are currently in wave one of fulfillment.
Wave two, which will include add-ons, will begin once we have finished shipping all tier rewards. Wave three will begin mid-2025 and will include New Secret Project rewards.
Why is my order incomplete?
If you’re missing something you expected, it might not be as incomplete as it seems! Your Words of Radiance tier rewards should all be shipped together, with the exception of the New Secret Project. Reminder, add-ons will be shipped separately!
What to do if anything is damaged/defective?
When you receive
anything from Dragonsteel for this campaign please immediately look through it to verify that your items are in good condition. If you have any questions or concerns about an item that could be damaged or defective,
please contact our team! Include any relevant photos or videos.
We only have a two week window from the time of delivery where we can offer a replacement for your campaign rewards. For any requests for replacements we receive beyond this timeframe, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide any support.
How can I check my address to verify that it is correct?
I updated my address myself—is that enough?
To be brief, no! You must message us for that to be reflected in our shipping system.
When contacting our team, please include your backer number, email address, and your new shipping address and we will make sure that change is made correctly in BackerKit and in our shipping system.
Why isn’t my address locked yet?
Addresses are not locked until just before they are pushed into the shipping system. So, if your address has not been locked, it means that your pledge is still being prepared to be pushed into the system for fulfillment.
Keep in mind that there will be subsequent waves of fulfillment in the future. BackerKit will unlock any addresses that require further shipments as your shipping information will need to be pushed into our shipping system again.
How do I track my shipment once it says it is shipped on BackerKit?
If you see that something has been marked as “shipped” on BackerKit, it means that your rewards have been pushed to our shipping software and are being prepared for shipping. Up to two email notifications with a tracking number will be sent when your rewards ship, one from BackerKit and one from our store email,
[email protected].
Dragonsteel Prime Digital Rewards
Though the ebook and audiobook have been available through dragonsteelbooks.com, they are still one of your BackerKit rewards and we want to make sure you can get them through the campaign!
We’ll be pushing these through for you to download through BackerKit shortly. Keep an eye out for an email to notify you when these rewards are available for download on your campaign digital rewards page.

Shipping Will Commence Soon!
After a good bit of waiting and many burnt glyphwards, the playing cards have finally arrived.
This means backer packs can be assembled and the first round of rewards can be shipped. If you haven’t had your address locked already, it will be locked soon. If you know you need to update your address, but haven’t yet, please
contact our team as soon as possible!
Since we didn’t include detailed mockups of the backer packs during the campaign, we thought you’d love to see the included items. Check out a couple images of these beautiful products below. We think they are worth the wait!
Timeline Update: Addresses to be Locked Soon

Time to Lock In
Backers! We’ve got a quick update for you! The time to double check your shipping address is here! We will begin locking addresses in waves on September 16 in preparation for our first batch of shipping. As we mentioned in our previous update, we’ll be focused on shipping out pledges with the highest volume of pledge rewards. This means those higher tiers will also have their addresses locked first.
Why is this SO important?
If we ship your rewards to you and the items are shipped back to us or can’t be delivered because you are no longer at the address on file, you will be responsible for any reshipping fees. These packages are heavy, so this could be very costly depending on the item. Please do yourself a favor and keep it up to date!
Note: After addresses are locked, any address changes you make in BackerKit will NOT be reflected in our shipping system. You must reach out to our Dragonsteel support team to make these address updates or risk shipment to the previous address.
A Timeline Reminder
In our first two waves of shipping this fall, we’ll only be shipping pledge rewards and add-ons that do not include the New Secret Project. All New Secret Project rewards will begin shipping mid 2025.
What are we waiting on?
Those storming playing cards are playing their own game with us. We’re hoping to receive them soon, but they’ve taken longer than expected to reach us. As soon as they arrive, backer packs will be assembled, and then… the shipping can begin!
The Orders United
In the meantime, we’ve received everything for the Knight Radiant Orders! Thanks to our inventory team for finding space for the hundreds of pallets and organizing them so neatly!
